Jeremy Robinson

Jeremy is the technology teacher at Newcastle Waldorf School, NSW, Australia. He teaches woodwork to primary classes from class 1 to 6. He also teaches woodwork, metalwork and many other crafts to the high school students.Jeremy has a strong interest in the art of the blacksmith. Prior to becoming a teacher, Jeremy ran his own art/design based blacksmithing business operating out of Melbourne and Newcastle. He has set up a forge in the school and is never happier when the sounds of the anvil ring around the school as students toil on their forged steel projects. For many years Jeremy has pursued his other great interest in sailing. He began sailing with his family as a child and continues today on his 18foot trailer sailer. Over twelve years at the Waldorf School, with a variety of classes, he has built two 20ft, two 16ft and ten 8ft canoes mostly using the stitch and glue method. The school regularly take the canoes on trips to the nearby lakes of the Newcastle region.
Jeremy is thoroughly looking forward to working with an international cohort, assisting students learn the skills of boat building and see them experience the joy of boating.
